Here are 12 National Night Out events across San Joaquin County on Tuesday

Neighborhoods across San Joaquin County will soon come together for the 41st Annual National Night Out.

National Night Out block parties will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from Stockton to Tracy.

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live,” the National Night Out website states. “Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.”

Yosemite Street Village’s Annual Neighborhood Night Out

Free face painting, kids activities, community resources, food trucks, music and more will all be part of the Yosemite Street Village’s Annual Neighborhood Night Out Block Party on Tuesday.

The event will begin at 5 p.m. between Acacia and Poplar streets.

The Stockton Cargo will be having a clinic with open play, there will be a watermelon eating contest, and food giveaways for families in need, a flyer states. The event is presented by the San Joaquin District Attorney’s office, the Yosemite Street Village and San Joaquin County.
