Two teenagers rob 76-year-old woman pulling cash out of Stockton ATM: police

STOCKTON, Calif. (KRON) — Two teenagers were arrested Friday in connection to a robbery they committed on a 73-year-old in Stockton last week, according to police.

The Stockton Police Department said an elderly woman, 73, was pulling cash out of an ATM on the 8000 block of West Lane when two teenagers, aged 14 and 15, confronted her.

Police said during the confrontation, the two teens “knocked” the woman down to the ground “while stealing the money from her hand.”

SPD said the two juveniles fled immediately after grabbing the woman’s cash. Officers searched the area but said they could not locate the two.

Stockton police said detectives “immediately ” began working on the case, and with the help of “multiple Crime Stopper Tips,” they were able to confirm the teens’ identities.

On Friday, detectives arrested both the 14-year-old. The 15-year-old suspect “remains outstanding,” PD said.
