While Modesto is still waiting for its own location, a new Chick-fil-A is set to open in Merced , bringing the chain’s famous chicken sandwiches and waffle fries closer to Stanislaus County.

Merced’s new Chick-fil-A will be in the area of 15th Street and Martin Luther King Way near Highway 99, city officials told the Merced Sun-Star in November 2023.
The fast food restaurant will join a hub of popular brands, including In-N-Out Burger, Wendy’s, Taco Bell and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.
It wasn’t clear as of Wednesday, Sept. 11, when the new location will open.
