STOCKTON, Calif. – A woman died and one child was injured Saturday night after a standoff in Stockton, according to police. The standoff began at about 7:15 PM Saturday after police responded to a domestic violence incident with reports of gunshots, according to a Stockton Police Department spokesperson. A 39-year-old man opened fire at officers. Police say the man barricaded himself in an apartment when officers began firing back.
