Tracy police arrest two suspects after warehouse burglary

TRACY, California — Two men were arrested following a burglary at a warehouse on Paradise Road, according to the Tracy Police Department. Officers responded to a video alarm and detained one suspect while the other attempted to flee.On December 28, 2024, around 7:41 p.m., Tracy Police Officers responded to a video alarm at a warehouse in the 2300 block of Paradise Road that had been burglarized but not reported. Officers located a small sedan with a box trailer matching the description of a vehicle seen on video fleeing the area. The driver, 52-year-old Toli Williamson, of Tracy, California, was wearing clothing that matched suspect images from the earlier burglary and was detained without incident, according to the Tracy Police Department.The passenger, later identified as 31-year-old Carlos Castaneda, of Banta, California, exited the vehicle and ran into a large field east of the warehouse. Officers set up a perimeter while waiting for the Modesto Police Department Sky 1 to assist in the search. The helicopter detected a heat signature in a nearby dumpster. Tracy PD K9 Tank led officers to clothing matching the suspect’s description and alerted to Castaneda’s scent in the dumpster. Castaneda complied with commands and was taken into custody.Both Williamson and Castaneda were arrested and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail, stated the Tracy Police Department.
