CERES, California ( MyCaliforniaNews.com ) — Two suspects were arrested following a high-speed chase involving a stolen vehicle and the discovery of a loaded AR-15, according to the Ceres Police Department. The incident occurred on January 2, 2025, when officers were alerted to a stolen 2000 Honda Civic.Officer Lord-Huff located the vehicle near Hatch Road and Santa Fe Road and initiated a pursuit after the suspect vehicle sped off. The chase continued through rural roads east of Ceres, with assistance from the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office air unit. A deputy successfully deployed stop sticks, deflating the vehicle’s tires.Officer Souza executed a PIT maneuver to disable the vehicle, which was occupied by two suspects. One surrendered, while the other fled on foot but was apprehended with the help of Officer Gallenkamp and K9 Fiona. A search revealed a fully loaded AR-15, and both suspects, with multiple felony warrants, were booked for evading law enforcement and weapon-related offenses.
