(FOX40.COM) — One suspect and two bystanders are dead after a police chase in San Joaquin County.
At around 01:40 a.m. on Sunday, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office attempted to pull over what they said was a stolen vehicle near Wilson Way and Harding Way in Stockton. The driver refused to stop and fled southbound at a high rate of speed, according to SJSO.

Deputies chased the suspect and during the pursuit, the suspect’s vehicle crashed into an uninvolved vehicle at the intersection of Airport Way and Hazleton Avenue. The crash killed the suspect and two occupants of the other vehicle.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are under investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Stockton Police Department.
