CHP: Father of toddler hit, killed by car in Stanislaus County arrested after shooting at driver

PATTERSON, Calif. — The father of a Stanislaus County toddler hit and killed by a driver Tuesday night was arrested after he allegedly fired shots at the driver.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the investigation began around 8 p.m. Tuesday when they were called about a crash on Highway 33, north of Crows Landing Road.

Upon arrival, first responders found a 2-year-old boy with major injuries. He was airlifted to Doctors Medical Center where he later died…
