Family hopes Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home will restore loved one’s memorial

Last year the grave site of retired San Joaquin County chief of probation Otis Walker was surrounded by grass near a more than 17-year-old scarlet oak tree his family had purchased in 2007. As of Friday, the memorial site located at Cherokee Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Lodi has become a muddy construction zone with no trace of the oak tree.
