SAN FRANCISCO, California — U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested 23-year-old Gurdev Singh, an Indian national, in French Camp, California, as part of a targeted criminal enforcement action. Singh, who entered the United States illegally, was apprehended on March 12 following his release from San Joaquin County Jail.
Singh was initially encountered by the U.S. Border Patrol near Lukeville, Arizona, on September 2, 2023, and was released with a notice to appear before an immigration judge. He was later identified as being associated with transnational criminal organizations and was known to carry firearms illegally, according to ICE. On March 6, the California Highway Patrol arrested Singh for carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of a stolen vehicle, and child endangerment. A search of his residence revealed seven additional guns, and two more were found in a car on the property.
