The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol will be on the lookout for reckless and impaired drivers this Memorial Day weekend, both agencies announced.
The Sheriff’s Office will conduct a DUI and driver’s license checkpoint at an undisclosed location within Stanislaus County on Saturday, May 24. Sgt. Erich Layton said the checkpoint will last eight hours and is funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
