Newman library to host summer performer events for families

NEWMAN — Families in Newman will have the chance to enjoy engaging, interactive performances at the local library this summer as part of the Stanislaus County Library’s annual Summer Performer Series.

On June 3 at 3:30 p.m., the Newman Library will welcome Didgeridoo Down Under, a lively show that blends didgeridoo rhythms, percussive beats, storytelling, and audience participation. Attendees will learn about Australian music, the history of the didgeridoo, and how the instruments are made.

Later in the season, Cruzin’ Critters will visit Newman on July 15 at 3:30 p.m., offering an up-close look at fascinating creatures from the animal kingdom.
