STOCKTON, Calif. — Stockton’s beloved Cruise Night along the Miracle Mile has been suspended indefinitely, as rising security concerns and costs force organizers to hit the brakes.
The monthly event, known for its classic cars and community vibe, took a turn after Stockton’s Miracle Mile said violence broke out following the May gathering. In response, the Miracle Mile Improvement District Board voted to suspend Cruise Night until further notice.
Board President Jeffrey Gamboni said the decision was made “until we have a recommendation on how that event can move forward in a safe and family friendly way.”…
