Police arrest a drunk man who was impersonating an officer in Riverbank

(FOX40.COM) — Riverbank police received reports from a female motorist of a suspicious vehicle after she had pulled over on Oakdale Road and Freddie Lane in Riverbank on Wednesday morning. • Video above: How to report a public safety threat

According to the Riverbank Police Services, the man who was driving was in a dark-colored sedan that was equipped with flashing red and blue lights. Crews responded to the scene and were able to find the vehicle in a nearby residential neighborhood.

At around 8:10 a.m., RPS stated that the deputies got in contact with the suspect, who they have identified as Alan Rojas, 43, of Riverbank, who had remained in the vehicle. After further investigation, it was found that the suspect displayed signs of alcohol intoxication.

Deputies conducted a field test that confirmed the suspect’s blood alcohol content, which was more than twice the legal limit, RPS said.
