Riverbank man arrested for impersonating officer, DUI

A Riverbank man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly impersonating a peace officer and driving under the influence, according to a Facebook post from Riverbank Police Services.

The incident began around 7:26 a.m. on June 11, when a woman reported that an unmarked dark-colored sedan with flashing red and blue lights had pulled her over near Oakdale Road and Freddie Lane in Riverbank. After she yielded to the side of the road, the vehicle sped off.

Deputies responded to the call and quickly located the vehicle in a nearby residential neighborhood. At 8:12 a.m., they made contact with the driver, identified as 43-year-old Alan Rojas, who was still inside the car, equipped with lighting equipment made to resemble that of an unmarked police vehicle…
