South Stockton’s McKinley Park, swimming pool reopens after $15.7 renovation

(FOX40.COM) — After years of community demand and a more than $15.7 million investment, South Stockton’s McKinley Park is officially open again with a brand-new look.

Hundreds of residents came out to celebrate the grand reopening, many dressed in swimsuits and ready to dive in.

How hot will the first day of summer be in Northern California?

The city’s long-shuttered pool, closed due to vandalism and break-ins, is now the centerpiece for the park’s transformation.

McKinley Park now features fresh landscaping, more trees, basketball courts, baseball and soccer fields, a children’s play area, picnic tables and more.
