San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, Stockton PD Join Forces for “Operation White Noise”

STOCKTON, CA — June 13th, 2025 “Today, the Stockton Police Department, in collaboration with the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, held a press conference to announce the success of Operation White Noise—a months-long, multi-agency investigation aimed at combating gang violence in our community.

This comprehensive operation led to the dismantling of a violent criminal network involved in homicides, drug trafficking, human trafficking, and other serious crimes affecting the safety and well-being of our residents.

Key results of Operation White Noise include:

  • 21 total arrests
  • 22 firearms seized
  • 3 individuals arrested in connection to 5 homicides, including two 17-year-olds
  • A significant quantity of illicit drugs confiscated

Our efforts to combat crime have led to significant progress:

  • Homicides have decreased by 35%, with 17 incidents year to date compared to 26 during the same period last year.
  • Injury shootings have also decreased by 13%, with 45 incidents year to date compared to 52 last year, highlighting the effectiveness of our intervention strategies.
  • Proactive measures have resulted in an impressive 57% increase in firearm seizures, with 420 firearms confiscated this year, compared to 268 last year.
  • In total, we have made over 1,300 felony arrests and more than 2,000 misdemeanor arrests, leading to nearly 3,500 arrests.
