Chico man arrested for rape waives right to preliminary hearing, jury trial set for July 2

OROVILLE, Calif. – A Chico man on parole for a previous rape conviction is headed to trial on new rape and assault charges.

26-year-old Eduardo Herrera of Chico appeared in Butte County Superior Court on Wednesday, waiving his right to a preliminary hearing.
