Modesto Man Sentenced to Life for Attempted Murder of Police Officer and Firearm Assault

The Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office announced that 30-year-old Gordon Massey of Modesto has been sentenced to life in prison, with the possibility of serving up to 35 years. A jury found him guilty of several charges, including premeditated attempted murder of a police officer, assaulting a police officer with a semi-automatic weapon, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and possessing methamphetamine while armed, as reported by the Stanislaus County District Attorney.
