Newman-Crows Landing Unified signs agreement to remodel building following fire

After a fire caused damage to its expanded learning building, Newman Crows-Landing Unified School District Board of Education on Thursday approved to begin work on its remodeling.

The building, which held offices for the district’s curriculum instruction and Beyond the Bell program, suffered damage to some of its areas. This includes the office space near the building’s entrance and its roof, NCLUSD Superintendent Justin Pruett said.

He said that the remodeling could take between six months to a year. Staff members whose offices were at the building have relocated to different offices across the district, including some at Von Renner Elementary School…
