A man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly igniting a gas can during a confrontation with probation officers in downtown Stockton, leaving one officer with significant burns, police said.
At approximately 2:20 p.m., Stockton police officers responded to the area of South San Joaquin and East Lafayette streets to assist San Joaquin County probation officers who were engaged in a physical struggle with a man later identified as 39-year-old Adam Lopez.
