A San Joaquin County felon has been indicted by a federal grand jury for his alleged involvement in illegal firearms trafficking and for being a felon in possession of firearms, as detailed in a press release published yesterday.
The 41-year-old Tracy resident, Rueben Paul Phill, has been charged with orchestrating the purchase and sale of firearms across state lines, alongside accomplice Alejandra Susana Castillo, 34, also of Tracy, by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California.
The operation spanned from August 22, 2023, to August 27, 2024, where Phill and Castillo are accused to have actively sought to purchase firearms in Nevada only to subsequently sell them within California’s underground markets…
