35-year-old man identified as victim in deadly shooting, Stockton’s 21st homicide of 2025

The Stockton man who was killed early Tuesday morning has been identified as 35-year-old Joseph Flowers, the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office announced Wednesday.

Officers responded to reports of a person shot at about 3:01 a.m. in the 2400 block of Oak Hill Street. At the scene, officers said they found Flowers, who had been shot. He was taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead, police said.

While homicide detectives were notified and an investigation is underway, the police department said there was not a clear motive for the shooting…
