Investigators have arrested six juvenile suspects after a concerted effort by the Modesto Police Department’s Street Gang Unit in response to a broad daylight shooting incident that happened on June 25. According to the social media post released by the Modesto Police Department, the shooting occurred near Pelandale Avenue and Honey Creek Road in northwest Modesto, though luckily, no victims were discovered at the scene.
In the weeks following, with the evidence that patrol officers located on the scene, the Street Gang Unit took over the investigation, meticulously collecting further evidence and chasing down leads. All the suspects, identified as under the age of 18, found themselves in police custody after efforts from multiple law enforcement agencies.
