LPD said the driver tried to avoid being pulled over by speeding through a residential neighborhood—but didn’t get far. After a short pursuit, the vehicle was stopped, and drug paraphernalia was spotted in plain view.

The driver, who also had a suspended license, was detained, according to LPD. A K9 was deployed and alerted to the odor of narcotics, leading to the discovery of drugs hidden in the center console.
