Stockton Police Deputy Chief retires after nearly 28 years of service

(FOX40.COM) — Deputy Chief Antonio Sajor Jr. retired from the Stockton Police Department on Friday after nearly 28 years of service, according to SPD.

The department said DC Sajor Jr. was the first person of Filipino descent to become Captain and Deputy Chief in the department’s history after being hired in November 1997 and worked in:

  • Field Operator as a Directed Patrol Officer in the STAND area
  • Community Police Officer assigned to the Sierra Vista Housing Development
  • Narcotics Officer within Special Investigations and the Central Valley High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force

In December 2007, Sajor Jr. was promoted to Sergeant and worked in Field Operations. He was then promoted to Lieutenant in 2011 with multiple roles, including:

  • Watch Commander
  • South Strategic Operations Commander
  • Crisis Negotiations Team Commander
  • First program manager for the Chief’s Community Advisory Board

He was promoted to Captain in 2014 and commanded four of the five divisions for over eight years…
