High-speed chases are probably the most dangerous regular part of a police officer’s job. That’s not just us saying it. Plenty of experts in law enforcement agree, but what they don’t all agree on is how to manage that danger. In some states, officers seem to chase suspects despite clearly endangering innocent citizens. Maybe the tactic just used to catch a motorcyclist in California needs to catch on.

We’ve seen lots of folks in plenty of vehicles and situations run from the police. The vast majority don’t get away, but those that do tend to have a great power-to-weight ratio in their weapon of choice.
