The classic fairytale “Cinderella” comes to the Gallo Center by way of Modesto Performing Arts. Steve Guttenberg also will show up at the Gallo Center for a screening of “Police Academy” and to engage the audience afterward about his long career. These are just two of the enterainment options planned for Aug. 9-15 in the Modesto region.

Modesto Performing Arts presents the beloved childhood classic “Cinderella” at the Gallo Center for the Arts. The Rodgers and Hammerstein musical was first presented on television in 1957, starring Julie Andrews. Updated for the stage, the romantic fairytale features Cinderella, stepsisters Grace and Joy, and her cruel stepmother. “Meet the magic powers of the fairy Godmother and the charm of Prince Christopher,” a press release from MPA said.
