San Joaquin Co.: Drug Trafficker Gets 16 Years In Prison, Co-Conspirator Faces Life

A Stockton man was sentenced to 16 years in federal prison for dealing methamphetamine while his co-conspirator pleaded guilty to the same offense on Monday, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of California.

Jose Manuel Ontiveros Verdugo, 40, had been found guilty of conspiring to distribute and possess meth in Stockton and San Joaquin County between July and December 2019, federal prosecutors said.

Jorge Omar Arredondo-Garcia, 47, had admitted to conspiring with Verdugo and others who were members of a drug trafficking group, to sell 11 pounds of meth and a half pound of heroin to an undercover agent…
