OAKDALE, Calif. — Months after moving in, ASTRO Foundation, an organization dedicated to rescuing and rehoming cats and dogs, will have to close temporarily after a car crashed into their Stearns Road building in Oakdale.
Megan Scoullar, director of adoption services, told ABC10 a car crashed into the organization’s newly opened community cat room. Six cats wound up escaping. While two of them were found safe, the other four are still missing. A donor offered a $100 reward for each cat returned.
She added that no staff members, volunteers, visitors or even the people in the car were hurt, however, one cat was killed in the crash…
