Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office mourns loss of K9 Zero

K9 Zero had an unforeseen medical injury and despite life-saving he passed away while undergoing surgery, according to the sheriff’s office.

Zero had served with Deputy McKinstry for the Sheriff’s Patrol Division since January 2024 and was cross-trained in both patrol and narcotics detection. He was a three-year-old Belgian Malinois from the Czech Republic.
