Lopez brothers convicted in Stockton murder case

(FOX40.COM) — The San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday that the Lopez Brothers were convicted of murder and attempted murder from a shooting on Dec. 17, 2023 in Stockton.

Cesar Lopez was under a domestic violence protective order at the time when he tracked the victim, Viviana Valadez, who was with Emilio Morales on Clay Street. With his brother, Luis Lopez, he drove a Dodge Challenger to Valadez, where Luis shot both victims, the DA said.

Officials said that Cesar assaulted Valadez and chased Morales. Valedez died from the shooting, while Morales was injured. Cesar surrendered the next day to Phoenix Police, and Luis was arrested in Idaho on Dec. 24…
