Stockton heroin trafficking ring: Man pleads guilty, faces life in prison

Alberto Ojeda Lopez, 69, of Mexico, conspired with his wife and daughter, co-defendants Maria Medina Silvas, 66, of Mexico and Alecsa Ojeda de Orgel, 44, of Stockton, to distribute heroin in and around Stockton, according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Medina Silvas and Ojeda Lopez sold an ounce of heroin to an undercover officer in September 2022. In August 2023, they sold a kilogram of heroin and the following day, law enforcement seized 2 kilograms of heroin from Ojeda Lopez’s and Medina Silvas’s vehicle.

2.8 kilograms of fentanyl, 2 kilograms of heroin, almost a half kilogram of methamphetamine, and $83,119 in cash drug proceeds were found during a search of Ojeda de Orgel’s residence, the DA’s office said…
