Stockton man faces life in prison after pleading guilty to heroin dealing

A Stockton man pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiracy to distribute heroin, US Attorney Eric Grant announced.

Alberto Ojeda Lopez, 69, allegedly conspired with his wife and daughter to deal heroin in Stockton, prosecutors said. In September 2022, Lopez and his wife, Medina Silvas, allegedly sold an ounce of heroin to an undercover officer. In August 2023, the couple allegedly sold a kilogram of heroin to an undercover officer.

The following day, officers searched the residence of Lopez’ daughter, Alecsa Ojeda de Oregel, 44, which prosecutors allege was used to store drug money and operate as a stash house. During that search, 2.8 kilos of fentanyl, 2 kilos of heroin, and nearly a half-kilo of methamphetamine were seized, along with over $83,000 in cash…
