Excitement had been building around the creation of a new school pool for Cesar Chavez High School, after the pool was first promised more than 10 years ago. The construction of the pool began in the early 2024-2025 school year, causing an upset for many students who had to walk around the construction site.
For many, it wasn’t enough to not be excited about the prospect of having a pool to jump into on hot summer days. You know what? It’s not just for the school students; SUSD plans to share this pool with the community during the summer, giving families a chance to cool off in the hot Stockton heat.
