Delving once again into a decades-old mystery, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office is soliciting the public’s help in solving the James Curre homicide case. On July 14, 1990, Curre was discovered dead on his driveway in the community of Copperopolis, a grisly scene hinting at violence endured in the quiet of night. The Sheriff’s Office, through a social media post, has reiterated the circumstances of the case: Curre was attacked by a knife-wielding suspect, or possibly more than one, on the night of July 13, 1990.
