Downtown Stockton businesses call for city help on parking rules

STOCKTON, Calif. — Businesses in downtown Stockton are sounding the alarm over parking, saying the lack of free options is driving customers away.

For four years, Jose Galvan has worked to draw diners into his restaurant, Fed. But he said even his best efforts sometimes can’t compete with downtown’s parking situation.
