The Stockton Police Department has announced the arrest of 23-year-old Walter Burgess in connection with a series of shootings, providing some resolution to the community that has been seeking answers. Following a report of gunfire on August 21, 2025, officers were summoned to the 6300 block of N. El Dorado Street where they found a female victim with gunshot wounds. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she later died from her injuries.
