A driver was killed early Tuesday morning in a solo crash on Sylvan Avenue, according to the Modesto Police Department.
Spokesperson Sharon Bear said the collision occurred a little before 4 a.m. between McReynolds and Roselle avenues.
Officer Troy Cross, who was at the scene, said the vehicle “started at the island and ended up at the tree,” where it came to rest. The driver, whose identity has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved…
