October 2, 2025 – Merced County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 30, 2025, Detectives served a search warrant in the 16200 block of North Avenue in Delhi. The search warrant was in regard to an investigation into the possession of illegal firearms. Deputies located Anthony Kent, 18, from Delhi, who is currently on probation. With the assistance of Merced County Probation, two firearms were located: a .22 Rifle long gun and a fully automatic .556 AR-style unserialized Rifle with a 45-round magazine. Kent was placed under arrest for gun-related charges and booked into the Merced County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
