NEWMAN — A coordinated probation compliance operation conducted Oct. 4 by Stanislaus County Probation Officers and Newman Police resulted in multiple arrests and an unrelated vehicle pursuit through the outskirts of town, authorities said.
Officers searched five residences in the City of Newman as part of the operation. Floyd Snell Jr. was arrested under violation of his probation resulting in a flash incarceration. Steve Carmona Mendoza was taken into custody on a felony warrant. Geovan Garcia was arrested for possession of pepper spray.
Following the conclusion of the probation searches, Officer Gomez attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle unrelated to the operation.
