October 26, 2025 – Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on October 14, 2025, at approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1100 block of Chicago Ave in Modesto following a report of a male victim being assaulted by multiple individuals.
While deputies were responding, they received information that several of the suspects had entered different vehicles and fled the area. The Sheriff’s Office Air Support Unit quickly located the vehicles and guided ground units to their locations, leading to the suspects being detained.
Upon contacting the victim, deputies learned he had been working on a project outside his residence when several individuals approached and physically assaulted him. During the assault, the suspects allegedly dragged the victim toward a vehicle while making threats to kill him. The victim reported that he recognized one of the suspects as someone with whom he had a prior dispute.
