A 36-year-old man fatally shot last week in Stockton has been identified as Maurice Banks, the San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office announced Monday.
Police said Banks, of Stockton, was in the area of Country Club Boulevard and Clipper Lane when an unknown person shot him. Banks was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Following Banks’ death, a memorial was created at the scene to honor him. Several lit candles spelling “RIP” were placed on the sidewalk alongside bouquets of flowers…
