Modesto Fire Department Swiftly Extinguishes Residential Blaze on Wycliffe Drive

Modesto residents experienced a jolt of emergency response action earlier this month as the Modesto Fire Department tackled a residential blaze on Wycliffe Drive. In a social media post from the department, a video release detailed the events that unfolded during the fire on September 7, 2025.

Responding to a call at the 3400 block of the neighbourhood, first responders from Engine 3 were met with heavy flames engulfing a large single-story home. It was a moment where the training and instincts of Modesto’s finest were put to the test. Initially, two occupants of the home were unaccounted for, raising the stakes for the emergency personnel on the scene. Fortunately, according to the department’s release, both occupants managed to escape the flames. One sustained a burn to the arm—a stark reminder of the fire’s imminent threat—and received treatment on the scene.

As the fire raged, a second alarm was sounded, calling in additional forces to assist in subduing the inferno which had taken a fierce hold on the Charlie side of the structure.
