San Joaquin County Appoints New Technology Leader to Oversee Local Government Services

San Joaquin County, based in Stockton, California, has appointed Tristian Cormier as its new Information Systems Division Director and Chief Information Officer. Cormier will oversee the county’s technology strategy, cybersecurity, and digital modernization for all 28 county departments. His responsibilities include improving service delivery and transparency through technology.

Cormier has more than 20 years of experience in public-sector technology leadership. He previously served as CIO for the California Secretary of State, where he managed modernization projects for election systems and information management. He has also worked as Chief Technology Officer and was the first CIO for the California Office of Tax Appeals.
