Emmy-winning Aziz Ansari will perform his stand-up comedy at Modesto’s Gallo Center for the Arts. It’s among several shows planned at the downtown Modesto venue. The diverse entertainment options in the region from Nov. 8-14 also include a music festival in Ceres and a celebration of salmon in Knights Ferry.

Aziz Ansari, an award-winning actor, director, writer and comedian, brings his “Hypothetical Tour” to the Gallo Center. He co-created, writes, directs and stars in the Netflix series “Master of None.” He also is known for co-starring in NBC’s “Parks and Recreation.” His latest comedy special, “Nightclub Comedian,” is streaming on Netflix.
