Stockton students receive emotional support from Canine Kindness Pet Therapy

The visits are part of the Canine Kindness Pet Therapy program, a collaboration between the Stockton Unified School District and Dignity Health’s St. Joseph Medical Center.

According to a spokesperson, the program combines traditional therapeutic methods with the unique healing presence of these specially trained dogs to help students develop their emotional regulation and social-emotional learning skills.
