(FOX40.COM) – With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the Modesto Gospel Mission is putting out an urgent call for donations as it prepares for one of the largest holiday distributions in the region.
This year, staff say supplies are running dangerously low, and they are hoping the community can step in to fill the gap.
Inside the mission’s kitchen, preparations are already underway for the annual Thanksgiving food drive. CEO Jason Conway says the staff is working hard to get ready for the big event, which kicks off next Wednesday, Nov. 26, at 2 p.m. and continues until every meal is served.
