Central Valley drivers face thick fog amid Thanksgiving travel rush

STOCKTON, Calif. — With Thanksgiving just days away, traffic is already stacking up across the Central Valley as millions of people begin their holiday trips. This year, drivers will have to battle potentially dangerous fog.

On packed freeways and slow-moving streets, many travelers said one thing is driving them forward: the promise of a Thanksgiving meal.

“I can’t wait for the stuffing, man… I’m going to dump a bunch of gravy all over the turkey and stuffing and eat it all up,” said Ricky Latu, preparing to leave Stockton soon for family in Phoenix. “I’m going to take my bike… I’ll probably be on the road for twelve hours.”…
