1 dead, 1 accused of drunk driving after Highway 99 crash in Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. — A man died and another man was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving after a crash Sunday morning in Stockton, authorities said.

For unknown reasons, a Toyota driver lost control and veered into a concrete divider at approximately 5:11 a.m. while traveling north on Highway 99 approaching Arch Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

The Toyota was disabled by the crash and perpendicular to traffic lanes, officials said. A passing BMW driver reportedly pulled over on the right shoulder to check on the Toyota driver…
